2. Sleep, or deactivate, the acquisition zone, as explained below:
Sleeping the acquisition zone
Press the
left button
several times until the indication shows "SLEEP".
Deactivating the acquisition zone
Press and hold the
left button
until the AZ box becomes blank.
Note:
When both [AZ1] and [AZ2] are active, [AZ2] must be deactivated before
[AZ1] can be deactivated.
If [AZ1] and [AZ2] are active when you try to deactivate [AZ1], the system releases
an audible alert and shows the message "DELETE AZ2 FIRST".
How to acknowledge the acquisition zone alert
Place the cursor on the acquisition zone, then press the
left button
, or select the
[ALERT] box with the trackball then press the
left button
to acknowledge the alarm
and silence the buzzer.
How to change the acquisition zone reference
The acquisition zone can be referenced to heading or North using the following pro-
cedure:
1. Open the [MAIN MENU].
2. Select [OTHER SHIPS’ INFO.], then press the
left button
.
3. Select [ACQUISITION ZONE], then press the
left button
.
4. Select [AZ STAB], then press the
left button
.
5. Select [STAB HDG] to reference heading, or [STAB NORTH] to reference North.
6. Close the menu.

TT Simulation Mode
You can simulate the risk of a collision by using the TT simulation mode. The test can
be terminated at any time by pressing the
STBY/TX
key.
1. Open the [MAIN MENU].
2. Select [INITIAL SETTING], then press the
left button
.
3. Select [OTHERS], then press the
left button
.
4. Select [DEMO ECHO], then press the
left button
.
5. Select [TT-TEST], then press the
left button
.
The normal operation is suspended then three simulated targets appear on the dis-
play.
The indication "S" appears at the bottom of the effective display area during the sim-
ulation mode. The simulation may be terminated any time by going to the STBY mode.
Three simulated targets move as the following table. The simulated target is automat-
ically generated with the relative movement in the following table based on own ship's
movement at the start of simulation mode.
