AIS OPERATION
With connection of the FURUNO AIS Transponder, this radar can display the names,
positions and other navigational data up to 100 points of AIS transponder fitted ships.
Position data WGS-84 geodetic datum is required for AIS operation. Set the geodetic
datum at the GPS navigator. When other datum is used, the AIS target position is not
display correctly. Select the geodetic data WGS-84 certainly for ship’s safety.

AIS Symbols and Their Meanings
How to show the AIS symbol
1. Open the [MAIN MENU].
2. Select [OTHER SHIPS’ INFO], then press the
left button
.
3. Select [AIS], then press the
left button
.
4. Select [AIS SYMBOL DISPLAY], then press the
left button
.
5. Select [ON], then press
left button
.
6. Close the menu.
When the AIS is active, AIS targets are marked with the appropriate AIS symbol, as
shown in the table below.

“X” overlaid on a lost target.

Displayed when CPA/TCPA is within CPA/TCPA limit.
Red in color. Flashing until acknowledged.
