ed vector time has ended. You can foresee a risk of collision with other AIS targets by
extending the vector length (time).
How to select the vector mode and time
Vectors may be displayed in true (over ground/ over water) or relative reference. Vec-
tor time can be selected from 15/30/45 sec., 1 to 60 minutes. The settings are common
with TT target.
1. Press the
CURSOR ON/OFF
key when the cursor is not shown on the screen.
2. Move the cursor onto the character R or T (rela-
tive or true) on vector box at left-bottom on the
screen, then press the
left button
.
Every press alternately changes [R] or [T].
3. Move the cursor onto the vector time box, then
press the
left button
to select a vector time in
ascending order (30 sec. and 1 min. to 60 min.) with interval. Use the
scrollwheel
to select 1 min. step.

How to set the AIS target alert
1. Open the [MAIN MENU].
2. Select [ALERT SETTINGS], then press the
left button
.
3. Select [TT/AIS ALERT], then press the
left button
.
4. Select [AIS PROXIMITY ALERT], then press the
left button
.
5. Select [ON], then press the
left button
. The settings can now be adjusted.
6. Rotate the
scrollwheel
to adjust the setting as required, then press the
left but-
ton
to apply the setting.
7. Close the menu.
When an alert occurred, audible alarm generated and alert message appears on the
massage area. To cancel the AIS proximity alert, select [OFF] at the step 5.

How to set the lost target filter
If there are a lot of AIS targets in your area, the lost target alert can sound frequently.
In this case you may wish to have the alert ignore lost targets whose range, speed,
class or length are below the threshold value you specify.
1. Open the [MAIN MENU].
2. Select [ALERT SETTINGS], then press the
left button
.
3. Select [TT/AIS ALERT], then press the
left button
.
4. Select [NEXT], then press the
left button
.
5. Select [AIS LOST FILTER], then press the
left button
.
6. Select [ON], then press the
left button
. The settings can now be adjusted.
7. Rotate the
scrollwheel
to adjust the setting as required, then press the
left but-
ton
to apply the setting.
