enable syslog
Description
Enables logging to all remote syslog host targets.
Syntax Description
This command has no arguments or variables.
Default
Disabled.
Usage Guidelines
To enable remote logging, you must do the following:
•
Configure the syslog host to accept and log messages.
•
Enable remote logging by using the
enable syslog
command.
•
Configure remote logging by using the
configure syslog
command.
When you use the
enable syslog
command, the exporting process of the syslog begins. This command
also determines the initial state of an added remote syslog target.
Example
The following command enables logging to all remote syslog hosts:
enable syslog
