Configuring the Director

Editing the Switch
Membership List

From the Hardware view Configure menu:

1. Select Switch Binding, Edit Membership List to display a screen

similar to Figure 5-6.

Switch Binding — Membership List

If nicknames are configured for WWNs (through the Connectrix
Manager) and you want these to appear instead of WWNs in this
window, click Display Options. On the Display Options dialog
box, select Nickname and click OK.

2. The Node List on the left lists the WWNs of all switches/devices

connected to the director, and the Switch Membership List on the
right lists all switches/devices that are allowed access to the
switch.

• To prohibit connection to a director port from a WWN

currently in the Membership List, select the WWN/nickname
in the Membership List and click Remove.

• To allow connection to a port not in the list, select the

WWN/nickname in the Node List and click Add.
