Connectrix ED-64M User Guide

Monitoring and Managing the Director

Information on the FRU List view for each FRU includes:

◆

FRU 

:

• BKPLNE — Backplane

• CTP — CTP card

• SBAR — SBAR card

• FPM — 1 Gb port card with longwave or shortwave LC 

transceivers

• UPM — 2 Gb port card with longwave or shortwave LC 

tranceivers

• FAN — Fan module

• PWR — Power supply

Position 

— A number representing the FRU chassis position. The 

chassis (slot) position for a nonredundant FRU is 0. The chassis 
positions for redundant FRUs are 0 and 1. The chassis positions 
for port cards are 0 through 15.

◆

Status

:

• Active — Always appears unless the FRU is a backup or has 

failed

• Backup — Appears on the backup CTP and SBAR cards.

• Failed — Appears if the FRU is not functional

◆

Part Number 

— The FRU part number.

◆

Serial Number 

— The FRU serial number.
