Displaying the RP set list
To display the RP set list, enter the following command at any CLI level.
Syntax: show ip pim rp-set
This display shows the following information.
Displaying multicast neighbor information
To display information about the device’s PIM neighbors, enter the following command at any CLI
level.
Syntax: show ip pim nbr

Number of group prefixes
The number f PIM Sparse group prefixes for which the RP is responsible.
Group prefix
Indicates the multicast groups for which the RP listed by the previous
field is a candidate RP.
RPs expected/received
Indicates how many RPs were expected and received in the latest
Bootstrap message.
RP
<num>
Indicates the RP number. If there are multiple RPs in the PIM Sparse
domain, a line of information for each of them is listed, and they are
numbered in ascending numerical order.
priority
The RP priority of the candidate RP. During the election process, the
candidate RP with the highest priority is elected as the RP.
age
The age (in seconds) of this RP-set.
NOTE: If this device is not a BSR, this field contains zero. Only the BSR
ages the RP-set.
