Inspecting and cleaning the EDGE enclosures
Inspecting the EDGE enclosures and keeping them clean can help prolong the proper functioning of the
EDGE system.
Before You Begin
CAUTION
Disconnect the voltage supply before servicing or performing any maintenance
operations.
WARNING
Lock the enclosure once the wiring is completed or when servicing. Use the
included nut and bolt or a padlock (not included) to lock the enclosure.
• Every few months, open and inspect the enclosures for moisture or dust build-up.
• Using a damp cloth, wipe clean the exterior of the enclosures.
If you simply want to wipe the controller and its screen without powering off the unit, disable the
touchscreen by Enabling the wash screen function at the bottom of the main menu.
WARNING
Do not spray water on the controller or on any of its Expansion Boxes.
Inspecting and tightening connections
At some point, the electrical connections must be verified to ensure the connections are not loose and the
installation is always safe. The inspection ensures that no overheating occurs on the electrical
connections.
AP/Cumberland recommends the connections on power and control terminals to be verified every 3-12
Months. Look at the different paragraphs inside the manual to know what tightening torque is required
according to the specific terminal.
