Production Natural ventilation operation and setting type
There are two main Natural settings; Natural offset and Natural bandwidth.
In a fixed offset from Power maximum, Natural ventilation starts at house/barn set point + Power band-
width + Natural offset. With this setting mode, Natural ventilation happens at a steady and fixed house/
barn temperature above the temperature corresponding to the start of the last Power stage, regardless of
the type of the last Power stage.
In a Natural offset and bandwidth curve , a curve is used to set Natural offset, bandwidth, and outside
temperature, changing Natural ventilation according to age.
Natural ventilation pre-requisites minimum age and minimum external
temperature
Natural ventilation stage is allowed when animal age is older or equal to the
Minimum age for Natural
parameter set in the Natural ventilation setup. That condition is present for all Natural ventilation skip
modes and in Tunnel mode. The minimum age condition allowing Natural ventilation is optional.
The opening of a Natural inlet is allowed only when the external temperature is higher than the
Outside
temperature allowing Natural
parameter value set in the Natural ventilation setup. At any time, a Natural
inlet can open only if the zone temperature reaches the set point + Natural inlet offset and if out-
side temperature condition is met. At any time, an inlet can close only if the inside assigned temperature
drops. External temperature conditions allowing opening on Natural ventilation is optional.
Inlet position reset
The inlet position reset parameters are shown only if there are time based inlets of any type in the house/
barn (ceiling, sidewall, Natural, Tunnel with or without whisker switch). A potentiometer based inlet with a
potentiometer defect is controlled as a time based inlet and uses time based inlet reset default settings.
The following are the settings for inlet over opening in Natural ventilation:
Movements between position resets
Number of open or close moves without reaching the
limits that would cause a reset of inlets
Close only if younger than - check box
Activate the option of considering age as a condition to
"close only" reset mode
Close only if younger than - age
Maximum age for the "close only" reset. Below this
age, the inlet cannot reset by opening completely ,only
by closing completely
Open only if older than - check box
Activate the option of considering age as a condition to
"open only" reset mode
Open only if older than - age
Minimum age for the "open only" reset. Above this age,
the inlet cannot reset by closing completely, only by
opening completely
Do not reset when external temperature lower than-
check box
Activate the option of considering outside temperature
as a condition to reset
Low ext T° reset by open inhibit - T°
Minimum outside temperature allowing reset by open-
ing. Reset to open is not allowed if outside temperature
is lower than this setting, reset to close will be imple-
mented instead
Time of day allowed - check box
Activate the option of considering time of day as a con-
dition to reset
