Chapter 4: Software version and configuration file management
Load Loads a configuration file that has been saved on the EDGE USB drive. This is a crit-
ical step. Many warnings can be displayed when attempting to load a new
configuration
IMPORTANT: To load a configuration file, all rooms must be in stopped production
mode. If not, an error message indicating that production must be
stopped in all active production rooms to be able to load a new con-
figuration is displayed
If the file was not generated by the EDGE system, a message warning that uploading
such a file can prevent some or all equipment from operating and it may damage
your system is displayed
If you press on yes, a message indicating that you will need to match detected enclo-
sures and modules to actual installed hardware is displayed
If you press on yes, a final message indicating that this operation will completely
reconfigure the system, and you will need to conduct a thorough validation of all
probes and equipment connected to the system for all rooms is displayed
If you press on yes, the new configuration is uploaded and applied to the system
Rename The alphanumeric keyboard is displayed allowing you to enter the new name. If the
configuration file name is already being used, an error message is displayed
NOTE: Do not use special characters or illegal characters/symbols in your file
names such as the following:
# pound
% percent
& ampersand
( left and ) right brackets
\ back and / forward slash
* asterisk
? question mark
blank spaces
$ dollar sign
! exclamation point
‘ single quotes
“ double quotes
: colon
@ at sign
+ plus sign
= equal sign
or any other symbols
