Chapter 15: Picture Plot Application

15-2
Using the Plot List
Each plot on the Picture Plot window has coordinate value data. You can use the Plot List window to display
and edit these coordinates.
Using the Plot List Window to Edit Plots
You can use the Plot List window to edit the coordinate values of previously plotted points and plot new points
by inputting coordinate values. You can also delete all of the plot data from an image.

To edit plot coordinate values
1. While the Picture Plot window is displayed, tap
Q
.
• This will display the Plot List window in the lower half of the screen.
• The
x
and
y
values of the Plot List window show plot coordinates. The
t
value indicates time. (For more information about
t
values, see “15-3
Displaying Plots on
t
-
y
or
t
-
x
Coordinates”.) On this window you can edit
the
x
and
y
values only.
2. Tap a cell and then edit its contents.
• To edit cell contents, use the same operations as those for the
Spreadsheet application. See “13-1 Inputting and Editing Cell Contents”
for more information.
• The maximum allowable number of editing/input rows is 50 when the
background image is a c2p file. For a c2b file background image, the
maximum number of rows is the same as the number of still images that
make up the animation file.
• Any change you make to a value will be reflected by the corresponding
plot on the Picture Plot window. Inputting an
x
-value and
y
-value in a row
that is blank will plot a new point at the applicable coordinates.
3. To save edited plot data to the c2p or c2b file, tap [File] - [Save].
• This displays a dialog box. The current name of the file you are editing will appear by default in the file
name input box.
4. To overwrite the current file with the edited version, tap [Save]. On the “Overwrite?” dialog box that appears,
tap [OK] to save the file. To assign a different name to the edited version of the file, change the name in input
box and then tap [Save].
• You can also save the file after returning to the Picture Plot window, if you want.
• For details about the information saved to a file, see “15-4 Picture Plot Application Files”.
5. To exit editing and return to the Picture Plot window, tap
5
or the Picture Plot window.
• Note that the Plot List window cannot be closed while the Picture Plot application is running. To hide the
Plot List window and display a full-screen view of the Picture Plot window, make the Picture Plot window
active and then tap
r
.
Saving Data to and Importing Data from a Spreadsheet
You can save coordinate data (
x
-column and
y
-column data), including the cell format information (number
format, text color, fill color), that is plotted on the Plot List window as a spreadsheet.
You can also import A-column and B-column data from a spreadsheet created with the Spreadsheet application
to the
x
-column and
y
-column of the Plot List window. Cell format information that is supported by the Plot List
window is also imported.
