4. To graph, tap [Draw].
• This closes the dialog box and draws the graph(s) on the Picture Plot window.
Tip:
Expressions registered on the Graph Editor dialog box above can be recalled from and graphed with the Graph &
Table application, by performing the steps below.

To use Dynamic Graph to change the parameter values of a Picture Plot window graph
1. On the Picture Plot window, tap [Graph] - [Graph Editor].
• This displays the Graph Editor dialog box.
2. Use the soft keyboard to input a function of

) that includes at least one parameter,
and then press

.
3. Select the check boxes of the functions you want to graph, and clear the check boxes of the functions you do
not want to graph.
4. To graph, tap [Dynamic].
• This will display sliders for changing values assigned to parameters

, and will also draw a graph based on an initial value of 1 assigned to
a
and
b
.
• Use the sliders to change the values of the graph expression parameters
and dynamically modify the form of the graph accordingly. For details
about this operation, see step 4 under “To run Dynamic Modify” (page 116).
5. To exit the Dynamic Modify operation, tap the close button (
C
) in the
upper right corner of the slider display box.

In place of the soft keyboard in step 2 of the above procedure, you can also tap [Edit] - [Built-In(1)] or [Built-In(2)], and
then use the sub-menu of built-in functions that appears to input a function.

To overlay a regression graph on plotted points
1. On the Picture Plot window, tap [Graph] - [Regression].
• This displays the regression calculation type sub menu.
2. Tap the menu item that corresponds to the type of regression calculation*

you want to perform.
• To perform quadratic regression, for example, tap [Quadratic Reg]. This
will perform regression calculations and display a Stat Calculation dialog
box*

of calculation results like the one shown nearby.
3. If you want to register the calculation result regression formula to the Picture
Plot application’s Graph Editor, perform the steps below.
(1) Tap the down arrow button (

) on the right side of the “Copy Formula”
box.
(2) On the list that appears, select regression formula registration destination (

5).
