Upgrading Your Server  9-89 

FLOPPY DISK DRIVE 

The server has a bay to install an optional floppy disk drive on its front panel. 

IMPORTANT:

 Be sure to use the floppy disk drive authorized by Bull. 

 

Floppy disk drive bay 

 

 

Installation 

Take the following steps to install an optional floppy disk drive. 

1. 

See the section "Preparing for Installation and Removal" described earlier to prepare. 

2. 

Pull out the server from the rack. 

3. 

Remove the drive cover and logic cover. 

4. 

Remove the cable while holding both ends of cable fixing bracket of the optical disk drive.
