9-34 Upgrading Your Server

Installation

Install a DIMM in the following procedure.

IMPORTANT:

The server supports DIMMs of only the low-profile type (30 mm (1.2 inches) in

height). It does not support DIMMs exceeding the specified height.

See the section "Preparing for Installation and Removal" described earlier to prepare.

Pull out the server from the rack.

Remove the logic cover and drive cover.

Remove the PCI riser module.

Remove four screws securing the support arm.

Remove the support arm from the chassis.

NOTE:

When the support arm comes up, you may lose the screws. Press firmly the support arm

before removing the screws.
