Installing and Setting Device Drivers
Follow these steps to install and configure the device drivers.
PROSet
NOTE:
All of the operation that related to Intel® PROSet must be executed using
administrator privileges. Operations using [Remote Desktop Connection] are prohibited.
Without changing any parameter when opening the adapter teaming properties , please click the
[Cancel] button to close the dialog box.
Click the [OK] button will cause temporary loss of network connectivity.
With PROSet you can:
Confirm the detailed information of the adapter.
Diagnose loop back test, packet transmission test and so on.
Setup teaming.
Configuring several network adapters as one team provides the server with a tolerant environment and enhances throughput
between the switches.
PROSet is necessary to use these features.
Follow the procedure below to install PROSet.
1.
Insert the ExpressBuilder DVD into the optical disk drive.
If the autorun menu is displayed, close it.
2.
The [Windows Explorer] dialog starts.
* Procedure when using the standard start menu
Click Start and select [Windows Explorer].
* Procedure when using the classic start menu
Click Start, point to [Programs], [Accessories] and select [Windows Explorer].
3.
Run "dxsetup.exe" in the following directory.
\009\win\winnt\dotnet\ma21\apps\prosetdx\win32
The [Intel(R) PROSet - InstallShield Wizard] dialog starts.
4.
Click [Next].
5.
Choose "I accept the terms in the license agreement" and click [Next].
6.
Click [Next].
7.
Click [Install].
8.
When the [InstallShield Wizard Completed] window is displayed, click [Finished].
9.
Remove the ExpressBuilder DVD from the optical disk drive and restart the system.
Network Driver
Specify the details of the network driver.
One standard network driver will be installed automatically, but the link speed and duplex mode need to be specified manually.
When PROSet is not installed
