23 Ethernet cable tests



The local loop must be voltage-free.

The Ethernet cable tests can only be performed on the LAN interface.

23.1 Configuring the Ethernet interface

Connect the local loop to the ARGUS socket "LAN" and switch on ARGUS. The chapter
"Configuring the local loop", page 27, explains how to set up the connection type "Ethernet
Cable Test".

23.2 Ethernet cable test settings

You can configure the following "Ethernet parameters". You can restore the default settings
at any time (see page 363). The following example is used to illustrate how to modify a
parameter.
