6.1 Before
Operating Sterilizer
The following steps must be performed prior to daily sterilizer usage.
1. Open chamber door and check that drain strainer is clean and in place.
2. Check that chamber interior is clean and close chamber door. Refer to

, later in this manual, if cleaning is necessary.
3. Open front cabinet panel on load end of the sterilizer. Verify that steam and
water supply valves to the sterilizer are on (see Figure 6-1). Close cabinet
panel.
4. Open printer access door. Check that sufficient amount of printer paper is
available. A colored warning stripe is visible when paper roll is near the end.
