of transported cargo up to 75 % of max. cargo weight. When travelling with the
max. cargo weight, shift the handle to “I” position and it will provide enough
lighting and prevent the possibility to blind drivers who travel the traffic counter
flow.
Adjust the inclination of the headlamp lower beam with the help of the adjuster
on the vehicles based on the URAL chassis-cabs in conformity with the UN ECE
Regulations № 48-01. In so doing the positions of the shift handle of the adjuster
control unit may differ from the specified above.
Assemble and disassemble the adapters which connect actuating mecha-
nisms and control units if only the truck “ground” is switched OFF.
Blackened bulbs of the head lamps should be replaced before they burn out.
When replacing the burnt-out bulb, restore tightness of the sealed-beam unit.
The bulbs used with the truck and their technical data are specified in Appendix
№ 7.
Replacing the bulbs in the headlamps, proceed as follows: undo the bolts fas-
tening the headlamp rubber moulding, loosen the screws fastening the sealed-
beam unit retaining ring, remove the retaining ring and the sealed-beam unit, re-
move the spring fixing the bulb and replace the latter. Perform the assembly in the
reverse order.
Safety fuses
The preheater supply circuit is protected against short - circuits by bimetallic a
30 A fuse, type 291.3722.
The upper fuse assy (Fig. 95) protects:
1 (link) - fog lights circuit;
2 (link) - flood headlamp circuit;
3 (link) - circuit of portable and underhood lamps, power circuit of pilot
lamps assy;
4 (link) - circuit of cab roof lamp, road train sign lamps and stop lamps;
5 (link) - circuit of heater motor and reversing lamp;
6 (link) - instruments and sound buzzer power-supply circuit.
The lower fuse assy protects:
1 (link) - left-hand turn indicator circuit;
2 (link) - right-hand turn indicator and instruments illumination circuit;
3 (link) - left-hand headlamp lower beam circuit;
4 (link) - right-hand headlamp lower beam circuit;
5 (link) - left
- hand headlamp high beam circuit;
6 (link) - right - hand headlamp high beam circuit.
