SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION ON TRUCK DESIGN
The assembly units and systems different from those described in this Manual
can be installed in the truck. Peculiarities of their design and maintenance are
given below.
CLUTCH RELEASE CONTROL
When mounting the power unit with a diaphragm clutch, the clutch control
design will be modified and will be of two types: mechanical clutch release control
with an air booster (Fig. 129) and hydraulic clutch release control with an air-
hydraulic booster (Fig. 130).
Mechanical clutch release control with air booster
Booster air cylinder 21 (Fig. 129) is mounted on the gearbox housing and acts
on clutch release fork shaft lever 23. The cylinder is controlled by air valve 8,
which is mounted on tie rod 9.
Hose 10 connects valve 8 with pneumatic system of the truck.
