After the truck brake system has been filled with the compressed air, the
pressure regulator comes into action. The pressure in hollow B drops and return
valve 7 closes. The dry air from the regenerating air bottle flows out to the atmos-
phere through throttle 9 and adsorber 6, regenerating the adsorber properties. The
proper operation of the oil-water separator and pressure regulator is detected by
the value of the controlled pressure and the regulator actuation – automatic release
of condensate.
The efficiency of the oil-water separator should be regularly checked by
availability of the condensate in the expansion tanks of the air system. A significant
quantity of the condensate in the expansion tanks evidences unsatisfactory opera-
tion of the oil-water separator. In this case remove the cap, take out the filter and
adsorber. Remove oiled granules of the adsorbent. If the adsorbent contains much
dust and broken granules, replace it.

forming seasonal maintenance.
SERVICE BRAKES COMBINED PNEUMATIC-HYDRAULIC DRIVE
WITH ANTI-BLOCKING SYSTEM (ABS)
The wagon truck is equipped by a pneumohydraulic drive of the brakes with
the anti-blocking system*.
The anti-blocking system is intended to keep the truck stability, when slow-
ing down the truck with increased efficiency at different wheel-to-road adhesion
coefficients. Upon installation of the anti-blocking system the truck has gained a
number of advantages:
- increased active safety and improved stability and controllability, especially
on wet and slippery roads;
