volume in the tank is measured by an electrical level gauge installed in the tank
and is controlled by the indicator on the dashboard.

Fuel Feed and Engine Stop Control
(Fig. 144) is of mechanical type, consisting
of a pedal, tie rods, control levers and knobs.
Constant speed of the engine crankshaft is set by means of knob 3 of the
manual control tie rod, which is connected via tie rod 1 with speed governor control
lever 15. To set the required engine speed (when inflating tires, warming up cold
engine etc.) first press down accelerator pedal 9 and then fix this position by pulling
out the knob.
The pedal travel is limited by adjusting bolt 10. At maximum engine speed
clearance “a” between pedal 9 and adjusting bolt 10 should be 2-3 mm.
With fuel feed control adjusted correctly pedal 9 should move easily ensuring
that the speed governor control lever 15 moves from thrust against minimum idle-
speed limiting bolt up to the stop at maximum idle-speed limiting one.
To stop the running engine knob 4, which is connected with the stop lever,
should be pulled out.
The control knobs are located in the driver’s cab on the panel under the
dashboard.
Engine Air System
is intended for air intake from the atmosphere, its clean-
ing from dust, cooling and distribution to cylinders. The system consists of a two-
