a  universal  device  working  under  the  program  recorded  into  program  card.  The 

4463005010 program card is required for the truck ABS diagnostics.    

The  “OFF-ROAD”  mode  can  be  used  to  generate  more  sliding  (temporary 

blocking), when applying the truck brakes during its travelling across country. The 

mode is entered and cancelled by a button switch located on the dashboard. When 

entering the “OFF-ROAD” mode, the ABS does not control the braking process at 

the truck travelling speed less than 15 km/h; at the travelling speed of 15 – 40 km/h 
the ABS performs the control, but admits a larger time period to proceed to wheel 

skidding,  when  applying  the  brakes.  The  pilot  lamp  is  turned  ON  in  the  “OFF-

ROAD” mode. 

Do not actuate the “OFF-ROAD” mode of the ABS on other types of roads. 

Prior  to  welding  disconnect  the  contact  joint  from  the  electronic  control 

unit.  

The ABS should be repaired in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions by 

authorized workshops. 

 
 

 

 

DESIGN FEATURES OF THE URAL-4320-41, URAL-4320-40  

TRUCKS AND THEIR VARIANTS POWERED WITH  

THE YAMZ-236NE2 ENGINE 

 

When the truck is fitted with  the YAMZ-236NE2 engine design of its units 

and aggregates gets changed.  

Information  of  engine  marks  could  be  found  in  the  Operation  Manual 

“YAMZ-236NE2,  YAMZ-236NE,  YAMZ-236N,  YAMZ-236BE2,  YAMZ-236BE, 

YAMZ-236B Power Units”. 

The most suitable temperature of the coolant should be within 75–90 

°

C. 

Take care to cable fixing. Exclude sagging of wires and their contact with parts 

of the exhaust system.  

Do  not  operate  the  truck  without  heat  shield  installed  between  the  turbo-

charger and front panel of the driver’s cab.
