Using the Headphones and Strobe Light
How to Use the Headphones with the GX
WARNING! Not certified for use in hazardous locations.
The GX Series Microlog also offers headphone support, which allows users to listen to
the vibration as measurements are being recorded. This allows the operator to verify
signal integrity and to observe the audio output as an aid to machinery diagnostics.
Connecting the headphones to the GX Series Microlog
Headphone use requires accessory cable CMAC 5078

To connect the headphones to the Microlog:
•
Connect the Headphone cable to the
USB Host/CH 4/Headphone
connector on the
Microlog
.
•
Connect the headphones’ jack plug into the socket
of the Headphone cable.
Headphone Control Using the Keypad
The data collection screen’s title bar indicates the monitored channel (
CH:1
to
CH:4
)
and the headphone volume (
0
to
+10
, or
MUTE
).
Volume and channel are controlled using the alphanumeric keypad as follows:
•
6 ("M") - toggle Mute status for the selected channel
•
0 / up arrow or 0 / down arrow – adjust the volume (from 0 to 10)
•
0 / left arrow or 0 / right arrow – sequences through channels being monitored
(from Ch:1 to Ch:4)
