8.2.2 Interface to BACS

8.2.2.1 General information and BACS functions

Communication with a BACS is accomplished via a data link and an external bus
interface with galvanic separation. This interface is to be connected to the COM2 port of
the AZL5 It facilitates Modbus operation, depending on the configuration of the AZL5.

8.2.2.2 Modbus

With this bus protocol, the AZL5 operates as a slave. The transmission mode used is
Remote Terminal Unit. For detailed information, refer to the document

Standardized interfacing software is available on request.
