Mattes Group
The Mattes Groups provides a set of assignable controls that allow you to select specific matte
generators and adjust colors for wipe patterns, borders, the color background, and matte fills. The
Mattes Group is assigned to a specific function by pressing a PST PATT , WIPE , COLOR BKGD ,
BORD or MATTE FILL button.
The following figure illustrates the Mattes Groups :

1. Matte Color Knobs
The three Matte Color Knobs allow you to adjust the color of the selected matte
generator. Each knob is an “end-stop” knob. Refer to the section “ Knobs ” on page 4–12
for additional information on end-stop knobs.
• Rotate the
HUE
knob to change the color of the selected matte generator. A full 360
degrees of hue adjustment is provided.
• Rotate the
SAT
knob to change the color saturation of the selected matte generator.
Saturation can be adjusted from 0 (monochrome or no saturation) to 100 percent —
full color saturation.
