Installing the Monitor Wall Interface Option

This section provides general instructions for installing the 

Monitor Wall Interface Option

, which 

allows you to interface between the Synergy 1 switcher and a multi-image display system. You can 
perform functions such as loading a preset layout, changing the input channel on a particular monitor, 
or editing dynamic text. Refer to the 

Synergy 1 Installation Guide

, for setup details.

Use the following procedure to install the 

Monitor Wall Interface Option

:

1. Install the 

Monitor Wall Interface Option

. Refer to the section “

Installing Software 

Options – Synergy 1

” on page 6-7 for instructions.

2. Ensure that one of the serial ports on your monitor wall is properly set up to 

communicate with the Synergy 1 switcher.

3. Ensure that the serial ports on your monitor wall are properly connected to a remote port 

on the Synergy 1 switcher. Refer to the documentation for your device to learn more on 
its specific remote control communications port.

4. Ensure that you have set up a communications port on the Synergy 1 switcher for a 

monitor wall.  Refer to the section, “

Setting up the Switcher

” in the 

Synergy 1 

Installation Guide

, for instructions.

This completes the procedure to install the
