Installing the Audio Server Control Option
This section provides instructions for installing the Audio Server Control Option , which can control
up to four audio servers directly from the Synergy 1 control panel. For more information on setting up
your device with the Synergy switcher, refer to the
Synergy 1 Installation Guide .
Use the following procedure to install the Audio Server Control Option :
1. Install the software registration key for the Audio Server Control Option . Refer to the
the section “ Installing Software Options – Synergy 1 ” on page 6-7 for instructions.
2. Ensure that the serial port on your audio server is properly set up to accept commands

on its specific remote control communications port.
3. Set up a communications port on the Synergy 1 switcher for your audio server. Refer to
the section, “ Setting up the Switcher ” in the Synergy 1 Installation Guide , for
instructions.
4. Ensure that the audio server is properly connected to the Synergy 1 control panel and is
assigned a BNC input on the Synergy switcher. Refer to the section, “ Setting Up Audio
Server BNCs ” in the Synergy 1 Installation Guide , for instructions.
This completes the procedure to install the Audio Server Control Option . In the Synergy 1
Operation Guide , refer to the section, “ Clip Control ” for detailed operating instructions.
