8. Remove the entire assembly and replace with a new fader assembly.
9. Secure the assembly to the tub using the two nuts, and then re-attach the connector from
the circuit board to the fader.
10. Although the fader is factory-calibrated, ensure that the fader arm is positioned directly
in the middle of the control panel slot. If not, loosen the Horizontal Position
Adjustment screw, re-position the shaft, and secure once again.
11. If required, adjust the tension of the fader using the Tension Adjustment screw, a Hex
nut driver, and a Phillips screwdriver.
12. Reposition the Synergy 1 control panel as follows:
• Close the control panel top and flip the control panel back onto its side.
• Replace and tighten the screws to secure the cover.
• Return the control panel to operating position.
13. Re-attach the two sides of the handle, and tighten them securely. If the handle does not
seat tightly or if it rattles, insert a small piece of tissue paper inside the inner machine
groove, as shown below.

14. Power on the Synergy 1 control panel.
15. Verify that the fader functions correctly. Refer to the section “ Testing the Fader ” on
page 11-7 for instructions.
This completes the procedure to replace a failed fader.
Note The tension of all faders should be adjusted to suit user preference, and
to ensure that the tension on all switcher faders is similar. Do not
overtighten the tension adjustment screw.
