Adjusting the Contrast
Use the following procedure to adjust the contrast of the display:
1. Navigate to the Display Menu as follows:
• Press
HOME
(to display the Main Menu 1-2 )
•
MORE
(to display the Main Menu 2-2 )
•
Setup
(to display the Setup Menu )
•
Display
(to display the Display Menu )
2. Press
Large Display
to display the Large Display Menu .
Display Test Menu
3. Use the middle
Contrast
knob to adjust contrast.
This completes the procedure to adjust the contrast of the display. If the readability of the display does
not improve, continue to the replacement procedure.
Replacing the Display
Use the following procedure to replace the display:
1. Once you have verified the condition of the display, turn the Synergy control panel
power switch off.
2. In order to gain access to the Display Module , you must be able to lift the cover of the
Synergy 1 control panel off the base.
• Gently flip the control panel onto its side on a clean, flat, static free surface.
• Locate the eleven screws on the underside of the tub.
• Loosen and remove the eleven screws, and set them aside in a safe place.
• Gently place the control panel back down on its base.
3. For this next step, ensure you have telephone books, or a similar thick, sturdy object
available with which to support the control panel cover.
• Raise the cover and slide the telephone books under the rear area of the side panels
to keep it raised and secure while you work.
• Ensure you have enough workspace to access the Display Module .
• Position a work light in the control panel tub, if necessary.
4. Remove the failed Display Module as follows:

Ensure that power is off. This step is extremely important, because
high voltages are present in the display module area when it is running.
