System requirements
To supply power to the device, a mains connection rated at 100–240 V AC and 50–60
Hz is required.
The Windows application TransWin32 requires a standard off-the-shelf computer
running the Microsoft Windows OS:
-
At least Windows 7 (32-bit) or later. Note: 32-bit installs are unusual with
Windows 7 and Windows 8. It is therefore
strongly recommended
to use only
the 64-bit Windows versions.
-
Microsoft .NET Framework Version 4 or later (if possible, the current Version
4.5.2 or later)
-
One or (optionally) two Ethernet network interfaces
(2 Ethernet network interfaces are recommended – at least 1 Gbit/s, auto-
detect between normal and crossover)
-
RAM: Ensure the minimum requirements of the operating system used have
been met. Typically, you should aim for 4 GB or more.
-
Hard disk: Ensure the minimum requirements of the operating system used
have been met.
-
CPU: Ensure the minimum requirements of the operating system used have
been met (a slow CPU increases the wait time).
-
Mouse (with mouse wheel)/keyboard (supplementary touchscreen as required)
-
Monitor/graphics – non-glare screen, min. 48 cm (19"), resolution of at least
1280 x 1024 pixels, colour
-
Optional: PDF program for creating verification reports as PDF files (as a virtual
printer)
-
PDF display program
-
Firewall: the firewall must allow network traffic to/from the REA MLV-2D.
The REA software TransWin32 is a single-user application. The licence is linked to the
REA verifier and not to the PC installation. The software does not need a dongle and
multiple copies can be installed if required.
Running the software on a server is untested and is not guaranteed to work. As long
as the server offers the REA program TransWin32 an environment that responds to
the program as a single-user workstation would, server installs should work properly
(virtual environment, sandbox, etc.).
Installation on Windows XP will not work as the software contains program
components that require functionality offered only by later versions of the operating
system.
While the minimum computer requirements are adequate, we recommend
using the configuration that the operating system used also specifies as its
recommended configuration.
