User and password management on the terminal
Once user management is active, only the users active in TransWin32 can log into and
out of the device terminal. Other functions are not possible on the terminal. If
password protection is active without user management, then the administrator can
log into and out of the terminal. This has no effect on password protection in the
Windows TransWin32 application.

Adjustment and calibration of the REA MLV-2D
The terms adjustment and calibration are used in the sense of DIN 1319-1 and JCGM
200:2012.
Calibration: Measurement accuracy is verified by checking against a reference with
known measured values. For this purpose, verifier device settings must not be
changed.
Adjustment: The device settings (lighting, level, distortion correction, etc.) are
changed until a specific measured value is obtained. A subsequent calibration then
verifies the measurement accuracy.
The REA MLV-2D must be regularly re-adjusted and re-calibrated at intervals of 4 to
12 weeks. Re-adjustment is also always required if the ambient and lighting
conditions have changed greatly in the intervening period. The instructions for
performing a correct measurement must be followed particularly closely during
calibration (see section 5.2).
The REA MLV-2D's adjustment data is stored in the device.
Its sister model, the REA VeriCube, stores this data on the PC. For the REA VeriCube,
software installations on other PCs must ensure that the calibration procedure is
carried out again or that the data is imported from the original PC (see section 10.7).
These steps are not necessary for the REA MLV-2D.
The REA calibration cards are used for both adjustment and calibration.
Please observe the following instructions for handling the calibration cards.
The calibration cards must not become dirty or scratched and their surfaces
should not be touched at any time.
When new, the card for adjusting the level correction is protected by a blue
plastic film. This must be removed prior to adjustment.
If the card becomes damaged or soiled, it must be replaced.
Note down the date when it is first used. This date determines the start of the
2-year service life.
The cards should not be stored unused for more than 1 year.
A photocopy of the original calibration card cannot be used for adjustment or
calibration, since the copying process significantly changes the card's metrical
and reflective properties. Nor may the calibration card be laminated, for the
same reasons.
Calibration cards may be cleaned if necessary.
The recommended cleaning agent is 3M Novec 71IPA.
REA VeriCube only: Calibration must be performed in the same way as
measurement.
