Profile management
Extensive settings are available for evaluation, symbology selection, minimum quality
and measurement aperture. Accordingly, many routine users do not know where to
start. For this reason, a complete set of settings can be stored as a profile. (Configure
-> Other -> Manage profiles)
About 30 profiles can be defined. In practice (e.g. in a production unit), the operator
selects the matching profile for a production job. The selection and activation of a
profile sets up a complete device configuration with just one user action. Profile
selection is accessed directly using the icon on the icon bar.
Password protection can also be used together with profile selection (or as an
extension to user management). With password protection, settings can no longer be
changed. The only exceptions are the job-related selection of the settings profile and
entry of the job number.
