Symbol attributes
A table with symbol attributes is shown on the right of the measurement image.
The table lists the detailed attributes of the
verified code.
Matrix size: 22 x 22
This specifies the number of matrix cells
(bits) used to construct the overall code. For
Data Matrix ECC200 codes, this value is
always even, specified in sizes from 10 x 10
to 144 x 144 for quadratic codes and from 8
x 18 to 16 x 48 cells for rectangular codes.
Rmax
specifies the highest reflectance
measured and its position
Rmin
specifies the lowest reflectance
measured and its position
For the Data Matrix ECC200 symbology, the
user data is formatted and packaged in code
words. The fixed patterns (timing pattern,
finder pattern, 'L') frame the code word
collection to complete the symbol.
Total code words: 50
Indicates the total number of decoded code
words displayed in the cell matrix.
Data code words: 30
Represents the number of pure user data words packaged in the cell matrix.
Total error correction code words: 20
The amount of code words for error correction in the matrix.
Error correction codes budget: 10
Indicates how many incorrect (damaged) code words can be detected and corrected
by error correction. If too many code words have been destroyed, then the symbol
can no longer be decoded.
Errors corrected: 0
Indicates how many code words in total had to be corrected by error correction.
Unused Error correction capacity: 10
This specifies the amount of code words that could be destroyed additionally without
exceeding the error correction capability.
Correctable errors for data modules: from 10 to 80
