Level correction
For Level correction, the white card with part number 07601401 is used. Level
correction is accessed from Configure -> Adjustment and Calibration. Three tabs can
be selected; one of these is the level correction. Level correction starts once the REA
MLV-2D has been placed on the white card.

Level correction corrects the effects of uneven lighting on the measurement image
(LED tolerances, LED aging, design, optics, etc.).
Level correction is started by clicking <OK>.
Level correction may fail, issue a warning or complete successfully. If level corrections
fails or issues a warning, then the camera lens on the optics module needs cleaning
(use optical lens cleaners designed for glasses or camera lenses). Following this, the
card must be cleaned and level correction must be repeated. If level correction does
not work properly and a device defect can be ruled out, then a new calibration card
must be procured. This can be tested by performing a simulated level correction using
high-quality photographic paper. If this level correction is successful, then the card
needs replacing. If not, the device itself may be defective and must be inspected by
the manufacturer and repaired as necessary.
