Number keys 0 to 9
Enable the entry of the corresponding digits
and letters. Repeatedly pressing a key causes
the selectable digits and characters to appear
in the input field one after the other. For key
<2>, for example, the sequence is
2 a b c A B
C
. All other number keys except 1 and 0 follow
an identical pattern.
1 key
The <1> key switches the camera into live image mode. The camera
image is shown in low resolution for use as a positioning aid. The text
"Pos." on the key stands for "positioning aid". This function is needed
since the cross hairs need to target the code in the image. Full
instructions for performing a measurement are given in sections 7.5
and 7.13.
3 key
The <3> key can be used to cancel an incomplete multiple
measurement. This is indicated by the
⊗
symbol.

Settings and input are applied immediately in the Setup menus. This
shortens the process of moving the cursor to the OK field in the display
and confirming with the <OK ENTER> key.
<ESC> key
This can be used to erase input that has not been confirmed. When
navigating in menus, the key takes the user back to the next highest
menu level.
<Setup> key
This key switches the device into Setup mode (for configuring settings).
Menu pages are accessed for the various device settings (see section
6.2.2).
<Del.> function
This function can only be used in the Setup menus and in the currently
active input window. It is used to delete characters in an input field. Each
time the key is pressed, the cursor moves one place to the left in the
activated (red) input field and deletes the last character. The REA MLV-2D
does not assign a function to the <Print S> label.
<Print L> and space
This key inserts a space character in the input fields for characters and
text. The <Print L> label is not assigned to a function.
