Measurement results: details
The basic selection of the screen views, operation, the configuration and the display of
the measurement results have all been described in sections 5, 6, 7, 8 and 10.
The display of the measurement results is divided into several areas that are
presented individually below. In general, preset values and entries for the
measurement result are displayed in
black
. Specifications for the current
measurement that comply with the target values are displayed in
blue
. Specifications

2D evaluation result: code analysis decoding
The evaluation of a code verification includes details of the code symbology identified and the
decoded code content. For the subsequent results to be meaningful, both of these must be correct.

The example shows a Data Matrix code with the structured data content complying with the
requirements of the GS1 organisation ("GS1 Data Matrix" for short). The data elements consist of
an article number (GTIN, AI01), serial number (AI 21), expiry date (AI17) and an alphanumeric
batch identifier (AI10). The proper format of the data structure is checked alongside reflective
parameters and aspects of print accuracy. If the single-line display field used solely to display the
data content is in fact too small to display the entire code content, then the field can be expanded
by clicking with the mouse. The image that can be expanded downwards offers a detailed view of
the decoded code content.
