This chapter provides tips and techniques for specialized cutting requirements, including
cutting on unusually sized papers, cutting on media other than paper, and applying special
effects such as embossing during cutting.

Tips for Cutting Unusual Media and Sizes

WARNING!

When you are working with unfamiliar or heavy materials, do not leave the cutter

unattended. If the cutter gets stuck in your absence, the motor could burn up. This type of
mishap is not a warranted repair. For tips on cutting a wide variety of materials, please refer to
the cutting pressure guide that was included with the sample paper pack. Please contact Pazzles
if you need a cutting pressure guide.

Be sure it is well adhered to the mat. Cut @ 100-120 pressure or use the
pen tool to emboss this material.

Thin Magnetic

Use simple designs. Use 115-125 pressure extend blade out slightly.

Transparency

Be sure it is well adhered. Use 100-120 pressure.

Thin metal foil

Use an old blade and high pressure. Extend blade out slightly, use 100-
110 pressure.

Metallic papers

Increase pressure. You may need to cut two or three times.

Printable canvas

Make sure it is well adhered to mat. Use 135-165 pressure.
