9.2 Electronic identification of ES cantilever holders

1. Attach the cantilever holder to the Cypher Scanner.

2. In the AZtec AFM software, select Programming > Cantilever Holder and Sample Panel. XXX

3. Click Check Holder and the type of cantilever holder is highlighted.

9.3 Changing the cantilever clip

Only the cantilever clip can be removed from the cantilever holder. Other parts must not be
removed or serviced by the user.

9.3.1 Removing the ES cantilever clip

1. Remove the screw.

Using a small phillips screwdriver, unscrew the screw
completely.

2. Remove the clip.

The clip should come off as shown.

Spare screws and O-rings can be found in the parts
kit.
