Adjusting the Earpiece Volume
Default setting Level 4
Use this procedure to adjust the earpiece volume to a setting between “Level 1” (quietest) and “Level 6” (loudest)
during a call.
● If you adjust the volume during a call or while the FOMA terminal is in stand-by mode, the adjusted setting is retained
after you complete the adjustment.
Adjusting the earpiece volume during a call

The earpiece volume can be adjusted in the same way by holding down

second or longer during a call.
On the Volume display you can adjust the volume continuously by holding down

(Memo/Check) for 1 second or longer. If you do not press any FOMA terminal keys for 2
seconds or longer when the Volume display is shown, adjustment ends and the stand-by
display reappears.

Release Cancels the current settings of “Me” and “Chara-den”.

● Use “Compose message” to create a message to be sent to a mail address stored in the phonebook together with the phone number. If a
phonebook entry has 2 or more mail addresses, the first address is used.
● Data from packet communications or 64K data communications cannot be added to the phonebook or used to compose mail.
Note
● You can also adjust the earpiece volume during a video-phone call or in hands-free mode.
● During a video-phone call, use

to adjust the earpiece volume. You cannot continuously adjust the earpiece volume during a video-phone
call by holding down

(Home) or

(Memo/Check) for 1 second or longer.
