Composing a Deco-mail
If you select “Decorate mail” for a JPEG-format image that is larger than 128 dots wide

96 dots high, 96 dots wide
×
128 dots high or larger than 9,000 bytes, the image is resized so that it can be attached to Deco-mail.
When selecting JPEG-format images and GIF-format images other than the above, the Deco-mail composing
display appears without image processing.

● Setting the position when setting an image in a display
When you are setting an image that is smaller than the image display area, use this procedure to specify the position
in which the image appears.

The resized image is saved as a new file in the same folder as the original file.

Change of the position to trim the image cannot be performed in “QVGA trim away”. The central part of the image is trimmed.
●
The titles and file names for saved images are assigned as described below.
・
Title: yyyy/mm/dd hh:mm (year/month/day time)
・
File name: yyyymmddhhmmxxx (date, time and xxx (where xxx is a 3-digit number))
●
The size of following images cannot be changed for mail.
・
Images prohibited to be output from the FOMA terminals.
・
Images that contains a recorded Chara-den with “Rec. file restriction”

Attach mail Reduces the file size to 9,000 bytes or less without changing the image size.

Sub-QCIF scale down Reduces the image size to 128 dots wide

retaining the image’s aspect ratio. If the file size exceeds 9,000 KB, it is reduced to 9,000 KB or less.

Sub-QCIF trim away After reducing or expanding the image until any of height or width reaches 128 dots or 96 dots while
retaining the image’s aspect ratio, this option trims center of the image to 128 dots wide

128 dots high. If the file size exceeds 9,000 KB, it is reduced to 9,000 KB or less.
Note
● You cannot change the trim position in “Sub-QCIF trim away”. The center of the image is trimmed.
● You cannot compose Deco-mail in the following cases.
・ When you have 20 draft mails.
・ When the image is a GIF-format image that exceeds 9,000 bytes.
