Downloading Images from Sites and Messages

Use this function to save an image displayed on the current site or sent to you in Message Request/Free and then 
set the saved image in the stand-by display or another display.

●

If you save an image or animation attached to or displayed in i-mode mail, screen memos or sites, it can be set in the 
stand-by display or as the wake-up display.

Progressive JPEG-format images

The progressive JPEG format is an image format for images to be used on i-mode sites or Internet websites, etc. Initially 
displayed coarsely (at low resolution) and then displayed clearly as more data arrives.

Downloading Melodies from Sites

Use this function to set your favorite song, the latest hit song downloaded from a site or a stored melody attached/
pasted to an i-mode mail as a ring tone on your FOMA terminal.

Up to 36 half-pitch characters can be used in the file name of the saved image. If there is no file name specified, the part between the last “/” and “.” 
of the URL from where the file was downloaded becomes the file name. However, if there is nothing in between “/” and “.”, the file name is saved as 
“imagexxx” (xxx are numerals). 

●

If “Image display” is set to “OFF”, you cannot save the image. The image can not be saved either if 

 is displayed. 

●

If you try to save an image while you are receiving a large image, a confirmation message appears saying that you cannot perform the operation 
while downloading a large file.

●

Images that meet the following all requirements are saved as frames or stamp images.

Transparent GIF file which is not an animation GIF file.

・

The file extension is “ifm”.

・

A frame that has an image size of CIF (352
