Setting the i-

ppli Stand-by Display

Use this function to set a selected i-

ppli software program as the stand-by display on your FOMA terminal. When

the i-

ppli stand-by display is shown, the

icon appears at the bottom of the display.

Only 1 i-

ppli can be set as the i-

ppli stand-by display.

●

The Web To function (P. 225) cannot be used from the i-

ppli stand-by display.

●

Some software cannot be set as the stand-by display.

In the software list display function menu...

Switching the i-

ppli stand-by display to Application mode

Use this procedure to launch the software program set in the i-

ppli stand-by display.

In the i-

ppli stand-by display, press

The i-

ppli starts up and the

icon at the bottom of the screen changes to a flashing

icon.

Deselecting the i-

ppli stand-by display <Deselect i-

ppli stand-by display>

for 1 second or longer while the i-

ppli stand-by display is

Choose from the following options:

The

icon is displayed for software set in the stand-by display.

●

If software that communicates is set in the stand-by display, it may not run correctly because of problems such as poor signal quality occur.

●

If you select “OFF” for “Stand-by net” in “Software setting”, you may not be primed with timely provision of information.

●

When an i-

ppli stand-by display is set, the image set for the stand-by display in “Display setting” (P. 121) is not shown.

●

If you display the stand-by display while a menu function is running, the stand-by display selected in “Display setting” appears even when an i-

ppli

stand-by display has been set.

●

If you turn the FOMA terminal off and then on again while you are setting an i-

ppli stand-by display, a message appears asking whether to launch

the i-

ppli stand-by display.

●

If you set “All lock” (P. 145) or “PIM lock” (P. 150) while the i-

ppli stand-by display is shown, the i-

ppli stand-by display quits and the stand-by

display set in “Display setting” appears. Once you release “All lock” or “PIM lock”, the i-

ppli stand-by display reappears.

Note

●

Some software programs allow you to return from application mode to the i-

ppli stand-by display by pressing the FOMA terminal’s keys while the

ppli stand-by display is shown. However, you cannot return to the i-

ppli stand-by display while another menu function is running.

ppli stand-by display deselection.

Ended

Ends without deselecting the i-

ppli stand-by display and restarts the i-

ppli stand-by display.
