About miniSD Memory Cards
The miniSD memory card is a further miniaturized version of the SD memory card that can be inserted into the
FOMA terminal and used as external memory. By loading a miniSD memory card into a miniSD memory card
adapter, you can also use the card with a PC that supports miniSD memory cards.
The miniSD memory card is an optional accessory. If you don’t have a miniSD memory card, please purchase one
at your local electronic store. The FOMA terminal compatible with the miniSD memory card up to 128 M bytes. (As of
February, 2005)

You can export data such as phonebook entries, mail, bookmarks and still images or movies shot with the FOMA terminal to a
miniSD memory card, or import data that has been saved on a miniSD memory card to the FOMA terminal, to overwrite existing
data. Still images and movies stored on miniSD memory cards can also be viewed on the FOMA terminal.
● When you load a miniSD memory card into the FOMA terminal, the icon appears on the display.
● When you are manipulating data on a miniSD memory card or importing or exporting data, the FOMA terminal’s
incoming call lamp flashes in green.
● The data exported to the miniSD memory card from other devices may not be displayed or played correctly with the
FOMA terminal.
Also, the data exported to the miniSD memory card from the FOMA terminal may not be displayed or played correctly
with other devices.

Notes on handling miniSD memory cards
Note the following precautions for handling miniSD memory cards:
● Always ensure that the FOMA terminal is turned off before inserting or removing a miniSD memory card.
Inserting and removing a miniSD memory card
Insert the miniSD memory card into the FOMA terminal’s card slot.
● Inserting a miniSD memory card
Turn the FOMA terminal off before inserting the miniSD memory card.

Open the miniSD memory card slot cover.

Insert the miniSD memory card into the miniSD memory card slot and push it in
until it locks into place.
Insert the miniSD memory card slowly with the printed side upwards.
When fully inserted, the card will lock into place.
Always format miniSD memory cards on the FOMA terminal. miniSD memory cards formatted on other mobile
phones or on PC may not be usable on the FOMA terminal.
