Note that fabric deviation may occur if the width is adjusted too large.

Using medium cover

The medium cover is used to prevent the fabric from being caught by the roll holder when the take-

up device is used with the "slack method."

Set the fabric to the take-up device.

(Refer to page 1.44)

After printing is started, if the fabric becomes

slack and the slack sensor operates, move

down the medium cover.

•

Do not move down the medium cover before the slack sensor operates.

If you move down the medium cover when there is little slack on the fabric,

it may be stretched resulting in deteriorated printing quality.
