W hen closing th e w indow s, be
sure that th e re is no d an g er of
anyone being harm ed by the
closing procedure.
In case of o bstruction, the
autom atic reversal will not
o perate if a w in d o w is being
closed by pressing th e sw itch
to its resistan ce point and
holding it th e re , or w h e n using
a key or th e rem o te control.
The closing p ro ced u re can be
im m ed iately re ve rse d by eith er
pressing th e switch E s i , turn ­
ing th e key to th e unlocking
position, or releasing and
pressing th e tran s m it button,
and holding it.
Warning!
The pow er w indow s can also be
closed with the key or infrared
rem ote control w hile locking the
ve hicle doors or trun k (see C entral
L ocking System in Index).
W arning!
W h en leaving th e veh ic le, al­
w ays rem o ve th e key fro m th e
steering lock. Do not leave
c hild ren un atten d ed in th e
veh icle. U n supervised use of
v eh ic le e q u ip m e n t can cause
serio u s personal injury.
Note:
If the side w ind ow s ca nn ot be fully
opened or closed a u to m a tica lly by
pressing the button past the point
of resistance (e.g. after a v e hicle
battery change), press E M side of
pow er w indow sw itch until the
w ind ow is co m p le te ly closed and
hold for add itio na l 2 seconds.
R epeat pro ced ure for each
w indow .
The autom atic full opening and
closing pro ced ure of the w indow s
should now be restored.

The sw itches are located on the
ce nte r co nso le and between the
sing le rear seats.
The su nsh ad e should alw ays
be e ithe r fu lly raised or fully
low ered.
