5. R em ove the p rotective cover
from the ja c k su pp ort tube
opening by inserting a screw ­
d river in the opening and prying
it out.
The tube o pe ning s are located
d ire ctly behind the front wheel
h ou sin gs and in front of the
rear w heel housings.
6 . Insert ja c k arm fu lly into the
tube hole up to the stop. Place
ja c k on firm ground. Position
the ja ck so that it is alw ays
vertical (plum b-line) as seen
from the side (see arrow ), even
if the ve hicle is parked on an
incline.
7. Jack up the ve hicle until the
w heel is clea r of the ground.
N ever start engine w hile vehicle
is raised.
8 . U nscrew wheel bolts co m ­
pletely. Keep bolt threads
protected from d irt and sand.
W hile rem oving the last bolt,
hold w heel aga in st hub to
avoid paint dam age on rim.
9. R em ove w heel.
10. Screw the a lig nm en t bolt (1)
supplied in the tool kit into the
upper-m ost threaded hole.
