Pop-Up F eature
An a dditional screen can be slid
into the roof opening to guard
a g a in st sun rays. W hen sliding the
roof open, the screen w ill also
retract.
W arning!
W hen closing th e sliding roof,
be sure that th e re is no danger
of anyo n e being h arm ed by
th e closing procedure.

1 to slide roof open
2 to slide roof closed
3 to raise roof at rear
4 to low er roof at rear
Turn key in steering lock to p osi­
tion 1 or 2 (with either fron t door
open, the s lid in g /p o p -u p roof can
be operated with key rem oved or
in steering lock position 0).
The sw itch is illu m in ated w hen the
e xterior lam ps are sw itched on
(except standing lam ps).

The sliding roof can be opened or
closed m an ua lly should an e le c­
trical m alfunction occur, refer to

T he sliding roof can also be
closed w ith the key or infrared
rem ote control w hile locking the
ve h icle doors or trun k (see C entral
L ocking System in Index).
