The window

assemblies will be
mounted here.

Caution:

Take care to avoid contact with the

beam-splitter (with one window assembly)
and the optics (with the other assembly).

Note:

If there are no filter holders,

mount the FM-2007 Windows on
the inside of the sample compart-
ment. Go directly to step 2a.

sample compartment

Installing the windows

Prepare the
instrument.

Remove the instrument cover.

Remove the two black irregularly-shaped covers over the optical path.

Insert window
assemblies.

Snap one window
assembly onto one
external side-wall of
the sample compartment.

Insert 6-32 × 3/8" cap screw.

Tighten the cap screw.

Repeat steps (a) through (c) for the other window assembly.
