Do not touch any portion of the lamp
except the metal cathode and anode.

Remove the anode cable.

Remove the thumbscrew at the cathode end (bottom) of the lamp, leav-
ing the post exposed.

Remove the cathode cable.

Place the old lamp in the top protective cover
from the new lamp.

Put the old lamp (in the top cover) in a safe
place.

Attach connections to the new lamp.

Attach the cathode connection to the new lamp.

Secure the connection with the new lamp’s thumbscrew.

Attach the anode connection to the new lamp.

Secure the connection with the new lamp’s thumbscrew.

Recheck that the connections are correct.

Insert the new xenon lamp.

Insert the new lamp in the bottom
holder.

Press the lamp down into the holder to
compress the spring.

Tilt and raise the anode end of the
lamp into the top holder.
d
Place the lamp so that the nipple on
the glass envelope is opposite the
collection mirror.
e
Set the height adjustment, using the
1/8" Allen key. Try to return the new
Anode (+)
