SAS
Set-top Box Authentication Server. An SAS authenticates set-top boxes as valid users of one or
more services. The SAS may also coordinate with a billing system.
SAPI

SCG
Scrambling Control Groups. A message sent from

Scheduler
The Scheduler allows you to configure a switch of content for services provisioned with two

SCPC NIM

Scrambler
A device which introduces a seemingly random arrangement in the incoming video and audio
to control access. Scrambling is reversed by an authorized descrambler which understands

SCTE-35 count
